Antique Santa candle

Forgive me! I don't mean to be one of those people pushing another holiday the second the other is over but I am painting for a Christmas show, so... here it is. This is an antique Santa candle I borrowed from my Dad (St. Nicholas collector extraordinaire). It's just a wee thing - about 2" high.
6" x 6" / oil on panel / $75

Running around like a one-armed paper hanger with all the Holiday Show submissions this week, but I saw this little guy on the DPO mailing, and I HAD to stop and tell you how wonderful it is - oooh, you got the depth of those reds so well!!!!

Kimmy,
It feels so good to see my special Santa's being used.

This morning my buddy St. Nick and I met at a Timmy's, at an undisclosed location to be sure. He happened to mentioned that he'd seen this reproduction that you'd done.

Because you're my daughter he checks your blog almost daily, He felt honoured to make it to your canvas. Also mentioned that he's been noticing a change of direction in your work and quite likes it.

So congrat's from "the real Guy"

Luv ya,
Dad

Cute! You are on it!
I just picked out my Santa to paint, but alas, he is not in paint yet! Thanks for the nudge!
