Preparing for the Toronto Outdoor Art Exp...THIS weekend!

Just sitting down to finish my second batch of labels for my paintings for the Toronto Outdoor Art Expo this weekend. Phew! Is there ever a lot to do. I will get through it with lots of checklists : ) Please consider coming to Toronto if you are nearby. It promises to be a very exciting, professional show. The expo is held at Nathan Phillips Square (City Hall) and I will be in booth i11. The weather promises to be less sauna-like than the past few days so it should be quite pleasant to stroll around. Okay! Off to make some labels...

Shenanigans + prep

This is "Shenanigans" and it will be at the Toronto Outdoor Art Expo July 4-6th. Today I worked on creating a visual inventory of the work that will be there and now have to finish up wiring all the pieces. I also began work on another piece but just need a tube of phthalo blue to finish it off. It's in the same vein as love.sex.chaos.love. I can't wait to show it to you!

Another viewpoint

I won't be painting for a few days while I design printed material for the upcoming Toronto show so I thought I'd take the opportunity to show some paintings from different viewpoints. Usually you see them cropped, but I thought you might like to see them pulled back a bit for scale. This is Bowman Swamp on location. 36"x36" / acrylic on canvas / $1000.

Work in progress

In a month I will be at the Toronto Outdoor Art Expo at Nathan Phillips Square exhibiting my abstract work! I am basically ready but hoping to complete a couple more paintings for the show. This is one I've been working on. It has taken many turns and I really don't know where it will end up. Always a mystery. Tomorrow I hope to get outside and get to work on some old, twisted apple trees. Stay tuned : )
