Reverie - SOLD

Today I completed this painting I'd had tucked away for a couple of months. I just hadn't known how to finish it, but this morning it all came together. I've posted this quote before but I just love it, so here it is again:
Crucially for me, I learned that appreciating Abstract Expressionist art begins with surrender, by allowing a painting to possess you. Once this occurs, you stop looking for symbols or messages or meanings and experience instead rhythm, energy, power, grace.

What a beautiful piece Kim. :) I love the movement in the circle shapes especially. And the color, always the color. And that quote is phenomenal. Because those words, rhythm, energy, power, grace, are always the ones that come to mind when I look at abstract expressionism like yours especially. I always thought I was just too simple to eek out any meaning, but I guess I wasn't. :D

Thanks for your comment on my cows!
This is a favorite of your abstracts, and I love the quote! I think I will have to copy that, it took me a long time to understand that!
Glad you liked New Brunswick, a big escape for people here in Maine. We don't have tides as big, I heard when it comes in up there, it is fast, true? Looks beautiful!
