Birch in setting sun - SOLD

"I remember a hundred lovely lakes, and recall the fragrant breath of pine and fir and cedar and poplar trees. The trail has strung upon it, as upon a thread of silk, opalescent dawns and saffron sunsets."
~Hamlin Garland

Ready for her close-up - SOLD

The glorious magnolia. There are a few trees in town that are just beginning to open up, others are losing their petals. I wanted to get a close-up of a bloom before they're gone for another year.

Birch

Thanksgiving Sunday! It's bright and sunny and fresh. I hope everyone is able to enjoy their day. Today I am posting a diptych I painted last spring of a birch. It was at the same property where I had painted the Old Growth Cedar (October 4th post). Last week I didn't know if I'd see this painting again as it was misplaced after a show - but it has been found and a friend is holding it for me for pick-up on Tuesday. Great news! Because it's not on hand, I can't give you the dimensions for certain, but as I recall, each canvas is 10" x 30". Have a great day!
