Concords

It's that time of year again...local grapes are ready! I live in a fruit belt. And I fully appreciate it. There's a joke about donut shops being on every corner in Canada and where I live I like to joke there's a winery on every corner. Close to the truth actually! : )
Anyway, I set out to paint these grapes and they were just a blendy mushy mess. I wiped off the painting and re-focused. I wanted to concentrate on crisp shapes and clear values and this is the result.
6"x6" / oil on canvas / $100 (includes free shipping worldwide)

mmmm I ate three baskets of grapes by myself in the past two weeks. The little purple seedless coronations are like candy to me ;).
Stay inspired!
