Hogwarts - the 2nd last post

Hogwarts will be done after one more session! So I did what I mentioned in the last post, plus changed the path a bit. When I was deciding what to do about the moon, a friend suggested cutting out a paper circle and taping it on to see where/if I'd like to place it (thanks Sandy!) So here are the 2 places I liked it best. What do you think? By the way, it was a bright orange piece of paper and when I paint my moon, it will be the gold colour used in the castle, mixed with white (so as to also tie the colour of the statues in to the piece).

Hi, We would like to put our two cents in :) My daughter and I like the top one the best. (Moon to the side.) . Both moon choices are good though-- Awesome mural!

So far the moon off to the side has 4 votes - the central position, 1. Hmmm....

Okay, I'm going to have to go against the grain here and say I like the second, center position for the moon. :)

Add me to "moon off to the side". It looks great, Kim... don't you love doing murals!? ; )

Well I'm going to add another option ...have you tried to put it on the right side? I just think it would make more sense as your highlights on the castle coming from that direction..so your moon is the light source.Just an idea..if that doesn't work I would go with the middle position.
It's looking great! :)

Yes Katalin - that would make sense (!) but on a photo of the castle that was my reference, deep in the central part - the middle of the castle grounds, was where the light source was coming from. So the *magical* light was illuminating the castle encircling it. On a side note - I'm enjoying you new blog! Congrats again!

Add me to the moon-on-the-side camp. And great work Kim. I'm not showing my boys or they will demand the same.
