Hardy daff - SOLD

Today I picked this daffodil from my garden and threw it in the front seat of the car to take over to the studio to paint. I ran in to get a few more things, hopped in and drove off...and drove the whole way sitting on my daffodil! What the heck? lol. Needless to say it was a little crushed when I arrived. I popped it in some water and it made a comeback.
6" x 6" / oil on archival panel / $75

Ah spring, if only it would linger a little longer!

What the heck Kim?! lol :)

that sounds like some ditzy thing I would do. But see the difference is that you are not a ditz. Me, um yeah I am. :)

Beautiful painting. I love those reflections on the glass, every time you paint anything with reflections I'm in love with it.

Hardy Daff indeed! ;)

I feel like Frank Newfeld (Kim & I had him as a college art instructor back in the day) when I say "that tiny bit of reflection on the vase is BRILLIANT", lol!

Glad Jade is on the mend! Give her a hug from me!

Love that story Kim the little daffodil looks none the worse. Now i I had sat on it at all it would not ever have made it to the canvas. It is spectacles I sit on all the time I have loads of them all over the place with smashed legs and bent nose bridges.
You made a great job of this little beauty.I have some beauties growing in my garden just now.

I love the way the surface of your painting looks. It's got such character. The painting is lovely--I'm glad for the persistence of the flower and the artist!

Love the nearly monochromatic palette in this. Unusual and so beautiful!
