"Beaded mosaic sandal" by Canadian daily painter Kim Rempel - SOLD

My sister let me raid her closet for another pair : ) These sandals are a bonus: splash and comfort! The tops are covered in tightly sewn beads and sequins. Challenging to paint - to still keep it loose while trying to portray the flash.
6" x 6" / oil on panel / SOLD

Just love these beaded shoe paintings .... they do look very sparkly. The close-up composition of the thong is interesting.... as it emphasises the heavyness of the lower half.

Kim, I can't believe that you actually took on all the beads and sequins! You did a great job and the colors are gorgeous. It isn't tight and remains loose and fresh!

Ok Kim all those post about pretty shoes would you like a real challenge ? How about my smelly trainers. I would not let you near them but you could have a pic.

Hi Kim!... Love the sassiness of this one... the way it straddles... and dominates the canvas diagonally!

Just enough detail to avoid fussiness... always your signature really! Great colour as well!

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
