Getting ready for a sale

I'm getting ready for a sale at a local school in a few weeks. My husband is making some racks to display my daily paintings and so I was grouping them in order to determine size, layout etc... What a difference it makes when you lay similar pieces side by side. I love seeing them this way - it starts to look like a unified body of work : ) When the racks are completed I'll post a photo.

We have a local art shop nearby and an artist has displayed lots of simple sketches in a similar way and then framed then to form one large piece of art. It is selling for £1,300 and is not even close to looking as fantastic as this! Have you thought of doing something similar? I imagine the top one framed as one, would look superb on the wall of a restaurant! Both look so beautiful! I just love your paintings - Really I do :0)

This looks great together as a group - (not that they don't look wonderful individually either, of course) but there's good impact w/all of these together.

That's awesome, it shows your buyers they can buy one or make a grouping out of any number of them. Best of luck with the sale.

Your paintings really do look wonderful as a group this way. I'd like to know what type of a frame is your husband going to make, and "how" are you going to attach the individual paintings to it?

Oh Kim! I can't tell you how lovely all of these look grouped together. I know the sale will be a huge success! Have you considered turning these into a book to sell on your Blog? What a beauty that would be! I love the order that you have them laid out...perfect!

Wow! They look awesome Kim!! Uncolicited advice ahead for which I humbly apologize in advance: A wise gallerist taught me to never hang like paintings together. The tendency for the patron/art buyer is to visually lump them and for instance if it's all truck paintings and they don't like trucks, they will visually move on to the next set without looking at any of them.... Food for thought, you might want to mix 'em up, so people look at each gem individually. (Sorry again, hope you sell out!!)
