"Zinnia feast" Kim Rempel, SOLD

This is number five of my zinnia paintings. I was really liking the way the acrylic piece turned out yesterday and wanted to see if it was a fluke
; ) These flowers have about one more day out of them and then they're toast. I've enjoyed all your comments about medium-switching and preferences so thanks for sending. Have a good day!
6"x6" / acrylic on panel / $75

This is my favourite in your zinnia series. The zinnia has always been one of my favourite flowers and reminds me of my childhood. Mom used to plant them along the walk at the front of the house and the flowers would attract many bees. As kids we always felt we had to run as fast as we could past the flowers to avoid all the bees...lol. E

I have studied color for a while now. May I say how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE the color in this. It is fresh, modern and different.

I'm lovin' this Zinnia series! Each one is better than the last. Zinnias are so difficult but you've painted them all so beautifully!

I'm enjoying your zinnia series. Like the that you retained some of the drawing in and around the flowers. It adds depth and interest.

This is my favorite of the Zinnia series. The colours are gorgeous and it is so happy. I like the composition and I feel like the calm, subtle background colour doesn't compete at all with the beauty and detail of the flowers. You knocked this one out of the ball park!
