Yellow magnolia

Today I was painting in a friend's unbelievable backyard and I discovered a yellow magnolia tree! (*gasp*) An uncommon variety of staggering beauty ; ) The lush flowers are just begining to open. Love, love, love.

Lovely, Kim! The magnolia trees are blooming here in the South now. They are everywhere and beautiful. Not the yellow variety though. Just white.

We had magnolias all over in England - but I've never seen a yellow one!
How beautiful - thanks for sharing it with us!
