Carson's field

detail, "Carson's field"

I painted this last night, loved every minute of the process and really liked how it turned out. I'm over my fear of fields! The setting was tranquil yet invigorating, the temperature was perfect, and there was even a good strong breeze to keep the mosquitoes at bay. Win, win, win : ) I think this is a 24" square but will properly measure it tomorrow.

Hi there Kim!.... Sure is nice... and exciting... to see you pushing your artistic limits beyond your capable and comfortable 6x6 daily formats!

Your handling of these subjects shows me... that you should keep this ball rolling! Very splendid and lively results.

My next post... a field piece as well... is a response from "Me" back to "You" It uses the same looseness and good structure, I think,,, that you have achieved so well in your piece here!

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce

PS Hi to Harry!

Kim, I can't tell you how impressed I am with this! It has a real 'Monet' feel to it and I think if he was around himself to see it, it would have a giant thumbs up! I LOVE it and really want to see some more! :0)

Great job on this Kim! Love the warm and cool big shapes. Painting bigger works for you!

This is wonderful - an art statement at it's best. I absolutely love the way you have allowed the undercoat to define so much of the painting.
