Today was my studio day with Laurie Wonfor Nolan. Yay! It really makes me love Mondays ; ) So today I painted her sink. Ever since I walked into her studio I have admired her sink. It reminds me of art school. And today it had these fabulous tea towels hanging over it. In keeping with my resurrecting old canvasses and painting over them, this one used to be this peach tree demo:
So I think I put it to good use! I'm really loving this one.
Studio sink: 12" x 16" / acrylic on canvas

Great color! Great subject!
This is really great Kim. I love how elements of the peach tree painting show through but aren't overt. You did a bang-up job of that sink and the striped towels.
Hope you are well.

Une belle communion... Des couleurs qui flottent et dansent parfaitement...
Gros bisous
LOVE the sink painting. It shows so much expertise compared to the peach painting. You've got me thinking about painting over some of my old ones!
Hi Kim,
I love the studio sink and the peaches that were the base. You are sooooo good.

Great painting, Kim. I love the blues especially the turquoise. What a fun idea to incorporate a little of an old canvas.
Love the graphic feel and colors in the sink painting. Great recycling job!
Wow, this has to be one of my favourite paintings of yours. Nice! You really captured Laurie's sink and the warm and warm and cheerful atmosphere of her classroom.
Your depiction of Laurie's sink is wonderful! So many elements in this painting, and pulled together nicely!
This really is a wonderful painting. I can just imagine if ever it was x-rayed in a few hundred years as some paintings are, how surprised they would be when they see what was before!
Love it! The colors, brush work, freshness and the under painting! Awesome job, Kim!
Nice piece. Laurie is wonderful. You must have a bit of Mennonite in you to recycle your paintings. This week I've been reworking a stack of collages that any normal person would simply chuck. =)
