How about a nice shot of colour on a January day? I remember being enchanted with monarchs as a child - wings like miniature stained glass windows! Honestly I still get a little thrill when I see them : )
La présence des papillons est toujours fascinante... le rêve de tout enfant que de batifoler en courant après les papillons... Malheureusement, je crois, que nous n'en voyons plus beaucoup... Magnifique peinture, qui m'apporte une sorte de rêve. Gros bisous
This is SO beautiful. I love the variety of oranges in the wings. :)) And I'm with you about being enchanted with monarchs as a child. They always seemed like a very SPECIAL kind of bug, and I was the kid who ran screaming from any bug that stared at me from across the room. . . Wait a minute, I still am that kid!
Well Kim, from having the pleasure of strolling through your blog, I can only conclude the obvious: RENAISSANCE WOOOOOMAN! I taught a pleine air workshop in Bonnieux, in Provence, two summers ago, and your pics of that area (?) seduced me. Simply love all that you do. I've been a documentary courtroom artist (tv) for over 45 years here in Philly, so am also enamored by the whole Urban Sketchers movement. And love your recent sketches. Gee, I guess I've become a FAN.Keep on paintin'!
