In the studio

I have begun working on a studio piece from a photo I took in spring. It's of an old gnarled fruit tree in blossom, in front of a young blossoming peach orchard. I'm just starting to block in some of my key favourite bits and getting in the darkest darks. As regular readers of my blog know, I really love painting trees.

As much as I enjoy being tempted by your desserts, I love watching your trees come to life.

Those pies made me hungry! And now the start of this painting is whetting my appetite! It looks like a challenge... one that I know you can meet!
