I wanted to paint the persimmon again before I ate it. I threw the asparagus into the mix not for any appetizing reasons - just because I liked the colours : ) I really need to fill that salt shaker for next time!
The first time I tried a persimmon was at my Grandma's house in California. It kind of looked like a tomato, but not. They're in the grocery stores now for Christmas and I thought they would look good in a painting.
