Ready for her close-up - SOLD

The glorious magnolia. There are a few trees in town that are just beginning to open up, others are losing their petals. I wanted to get a close-up of a bloom before they're gone for another year.

Gosh, Kim, I just love this one! Beautiful, simple lines painted with confident strokes. All of the different pinks and blues work great together and that little bit of yellow green in the top petal is so great. I also love the mix of greens and dark wine in the stem with that little touch of bright red. Perfect!

They are glorious, and that is exactly how you painted it. Soft, pink petals and light spring green. Beautiful job, Kim.
They are almost finished here, but I have a few good shots for a future paintings.

Hi, Kim,

Your floral pieces are fabulous. The color harmony is beautiful in all of them, as is the fullness of the paint. I'm really enjoying your portraits, too. You've been really busy!

And Leonard Cohen rocks.

Super. Right on -- as a flower lover I find it hard to say this is the one, but it is certainly one of the ones. Love this. Great painting.

Email me, and we'll get together in the summer.

Take care,

Barbara
