Sassy - SOLD

This one is from a pair I wore as a bridesmaid many years back. Does anyone out there know how to mix a bright, neon magenta? That was what the highlight looked like on this pump but I couldn't find a way to mix it!
6" x 6" / oil on panel / $75

Yowza...this is fabulous!

I mix permanent rose with cad orange for that neon color.

Wonder if you just bought opera pink and used some of it toned down for the highlights. I remember an instructor in a watercolour class using it once and saying how intense it was for hot pink flowers... I am just assuming some company might make this colour in oil paint.
This shoes is very Sassy... great title.

Thanks! And thank you for your mixing tips. I will definitely play around with them. Good to know :)

I have trouble getting that color, too. Adding white just washes it out. Permanent rose with cad orange does sound as though it would work. I've never tried Opera Pink.

Kim, I agree with Kim Blair try opera pink or Rose violet...they make great bright glowing magentas! Just loving your shoe series!

Hi Kim, I like Dana'a mix but there is also a tube colour made by Holbein that I think would become your oil version of Opera Pink for watercolour. It's Holbein H801 Transparent Rose. I got mine at Delta(www.deltaart.ca) (checked Curry's site but don't see it).Have fun! Love the shoe series!
