Concertina - SOLD

This is one of the instruments lent to me by my neighbour. It makes a wonderful sound. I would love to hear it being played by someone who really knew what to do with it ; )

A lovely painting to bring back memories Kim!

Years ago I had a circle of friends in Ohio that comprised a "Breakfast Club". Many were musicians, so after eating on Sunday mornings they would jam for the rest of the day. Some 30 years later, they still carry on the tradition. And one member played the concertina! Enriched the sounds so much.

I don’t have any idea about this instrument but I can say that you did a great job. Details are captured so nicely.

Concertinas are such happy instruments. You've done a wonderful job with those bellows and strap. I've got a piano accordion which I love to play :)

Lookin' good, Kim! I don't know if I've actually seen one of these played in person, but it would be a fun experience!

We had neighbors whose children would carol at Christmas, and one of the boys played a concertina. It was delightful!

This reminds me of my grandfather. He used to go on trips with his family, they called it the "van clan" and one time they found a huge flea market. He picked up one of these, and learned how to play "Lady of Spain" within minutes of owning it...he was quite a musical guy. Thanks for triggering that fond memory for me!
