I carried this stack of stuff into my studio and set it on the table. It was a cockscomb flower, a container holding my salad, a notepad and a stack of books. I looked at it and with the colours, shapes and angles it looked like a pretty exciting subject to paint (that orange on the
Richard Diebenkorn book was the icing on the cake).

The the Abstract quality of this one too! You are right...that orange book cover really balances the painting. Love all of the linear shapes and nice work on the transparent plastic dish!
fresh and lively. good composition. I don't find stacks of anything that easy to paint so admire this one. And to make it interesting too...great.
Strong composition and nice edgy colors. Great that Diebenkorn's book made such a contribution. (In several ways :-) Love it!
Nice broad, confident strokes. Love the all the diagonals. Great grays.
Very strong piece, Kim. Great diagonals and that punch of orange with the grayed blues is, as you say, the icing. I think Mr. Diebenkorn would approve.
Finalement Kim, inutile de tout ranger... l'ensemble donne un beau résultat pictural ! Bisous
NICE Kim! I love the colors too, that orange! WOW! :)
