From the garage: Skein of twine and a CHALLENGE!

This is a skein of twine - the really rough, hairy kind. We keep it in the garage hooked on a nail. I thought I'd do a few paintings of items from the garage. It's all about finding beauty in the ordinary. Visual artist are clearly keyed into that, although it's definitely not exclusive to our occupation. Hmm...I just thought of something. A little challenge!
How about finding one of the most mundane objects you can and painting it? Find the beauty! Now, I'm not the Daily Paintworks but hey - it could be fun ; ) Just post it on your blog, but also send it over to me and I will post all of them with links back to your blogs. Just something a little different to try over the next few days : )
6" x 6" / oil on archival panel / $100 (includes free shipping worldwide)

Sounds like fun. My garage is a bit scary but filled with mundane objects. Actually, too many objects.
