Kim, this one is my favorite. The colors are exquisite! I love graphic quality of the stems and leaves and the loose brush strokes in the flowers. Just great!

Ooh, interesting! The way you cropped it gives it an almost abstracted look. I agree about the negative spaces, they rock. Nice!! I SO wanted to paint lilacs this year--just never quite got around to it.

I absolutely love how the lower left hand quadrant seems to be very abstract yet this is a figurative painting! A favourite of mine, love it.
