New work

acrylic, 24" x 24"
~Detail~
I spent today working on a landscape I'd painted months ago. It was never finished and I was just waiting for a day till I felt I knew what to do with it. It's painted on a wood canvas box and so I've sanded it down a few times, glazed it, and generally just had a great time deconstructing it. I find you can't get too precious about things - if it doesn't feel right, take a swing at it!

Oh I have a lot of "not too precious" paintings that someday will get worked on. Kim your colours are luscious and the looseness is absolutely wonderful.

This painting is a real attention grabber. I am so drawn to the sky vs branches part. So nice.
