I painted this at my last Good Earth "Eat.Drink.Paint" event. It began as my demo and then I was able to work on it later in the day.
And exciting news! November 26+27 I will be at the Christmas HandMade Market at The Good Earth. Last years event was so festive and, well...all around wonderful that you'll really want to come if you're within manageable driving distance. Here's a short video from last year so you can get a flavour of the weekend. I highly recommend it! And hey - you could probably finish a good chunk of your holiday shopping!

Kimmer, I actually really like this one. I don't think you should paint over it. Love the colour combo and the design. It has nice movement.

Hold on there Kim, some paintings should stay the way they are. I love this painting and your web site. Good work and thanks for the fun video.

Oh my, I would love to spend a couple of hours at that market...pity it;s a bit far to drive from Hampshire UK...and this is a lovely painting of the tree with the light shining through, not one to paint over I think!
This is stunning in my book, don't paint over it! I love that the values are so close, yet the chroma of the blue highlights the tree shape. It's a keeper! Now i have to go visit the nearest antique mall...thanks for the inspiration :)
Une belle interprétation et un bel honneur pour nos amis les arbres...
Les couleurs sont fantastiques.
Gros bisous
I'm enjoying this painting as it is and I'm sure it is even more captivating in person when seen at full scale. Maybe you should ponder it awhile longer before painting over it.
I agree with all of the previous comments. Love your use of color . . . the lavender is so dramatic against the keyed down tree trunk and leaves. And I love the touches of orange. The painting is wonderful!!!
I vicariously enjoyed the clean-up of your studio, too. Mine is a fraction of the size of yours and crammed! You must feel so good working in there now!!
