What I worked on at Lauries today. This was our last studio day of the year. Thanks so much Laurie. You were inspiring and a wealth of knowledge (not to mention a great source of amusement ; ) I learned a ton. This was another painting on top of an old painting. Right near the end of the day I went a little too crazy with the pattern on her "dress". I am going to paint some of it out tomorrow to reveal a bit more of the flesh. It was a bit better that way.

Une puissance et une personnalité jaillissent de cette peinture... l'âme de l'une mêlée avec l'autre...
Une peinture qui déjà promet une belle fin...
J'ai hâte de voir sa finalité.
gros bisous
This is looking good! Can't wait to see it completed.
You are so prolific, Kim. DO you ever sleep? You must keep little painting elves in your studio. Can't wait to see this one finished.
I'm enjoying the pattern on the dress! It reminds me of Klimt.

I like the pattern on her dress it's very Klimt -- one of my favorites. Maybe I'll go an cover a canvas with gold leaf. Love that gold.
You are an awesome painter. Merry Christmas to you girl!

Thanks! Yes, I was drooling over Klint again...but trying to interpret in my own way... I still intend to take a fair bit of pattern out on the dress and bring the skin back - I'll post when I complete it.
Love ths Kim, her purple hair is to die for! I am really loving the 'feeling' I get from your new work. :)
