New work - Kim Rempel

Here is my next new painting. I can't tell you how deeply excited I feel when I've been painting this past week. At risk of sounding trite, I just have to say I feel like something is unlocking as I'm painting. I feel an uncertain rush yet at the same time deep satisfaction. I wonder if this is something I can hold on to?
Below is my finished painting from last Wednesday.

Love it Kim! I truly know what you are talking about, I have been feeling the same thing, and ready for abstract thoughts. You are way ahead of me, however, but I like your direction!! Way to go!

I love them both! The second one looks like abstract buildings with reflections in water ... That's what I see anyway... Love the subtle colours

Wow, very abstracty-springy! Love it! Is this a complete departure for you or have you done work like this before?

I am excited for you, Kim! Wowie! This is a gorgeous painting and as you know I like Wednesday's painting too. I feel giddy imagining you painting and "unlocking"- keep rolling with it. I am inspired and now I can hardly wait to get to the studio this week. Yay for you!

Overflowing indeed, Kim!
Having only recently become your friend herein, you never cease to DAZZLE!
These wonderful images make me wonder if you haven't been having midnight rendezvous with Cezanne's ghost?

You do not sound trite at all! You sound inspiring! I LOVE these pieces. :)) And I'd be very interested to know what's inspiring you to paint these. :)))

Love these paintings, Kim. What an exciting direction you have taken. Can't wait to see what comes next! I too would like to hear about your 'start' and thoughts through the process.

whoops - guess I should have read the earlier post to see how the painting 'happened'. You have probably inspired us all to take an old painting and try re-working it.....
