This is the last in this series - my flowers were real troopers but they're done. I think it might be my favourite.

I agree....this is gorgeous! Unique composition and the color palette really features the rose's beauty.

Ok, I even went back to see the others....I love them all and they are each so different even with the same subject matter. Great lesson learned here. Composition! The whites in this one are so delicious and wonderful. They just surround that red.
Well done!

This is a wonderful series. I agree that this one is my favorite. You did a terrific job on the shadows and leaves. And that red rose is beautiful surrounded by all the whites!

My favorite too Kim! Love your shadows and the red highlights peeking through.

Should receive a bouquet of roses for the donuts you painted!

This series touched me..the titles, the flowers and the way you handled the brushwork...lovely. Thank you for sharing.

I love the shadow color in this and the way the light background becomes a shape. Great!

I love this one also even though here in Scotland people seldom if ever have red and white flowers in the same bunch. Such silly superstition.

Très joli travail que celui de l'ombre qui renforce la lumière sur vos fleurs... Je vous félicite pour l'ensemble de cette série florale.

Another great piece. And I like the fact that you can tell the flowers are a little "faded". Great values, shadows...it all works.
