Promise of spring - SOLD

These are the flowers I used in my class last week - some tulips and roses. I worked with a palette knife for this one. I enjoy mixing it up. Speaking of spring, tomorrow we're supposed to get unseasonably warm temperatures and even showers. In February! A little unusual but I'll take it : )

En France, nous goûtons depuis près d'une dizaine de jours à une douceur printanière et cela fait du bien...
Votre bouquet est digne d'un beau printemps, vos couleurs chantent la douceur...

I'm in for the unseasonably warm February too! By switching to a palette knife it really changes your style. Great painting!

Love the colors and the palette knife work. That dark value in the middle and foreground brings it all together, and gives a bit of an abstract feel. I think this nice weather is just a tease, but ya, we'll take it!!

I really like your flowers, but strangely, what really makes it for me is the petals which have fallen off and are lying by the side of the display :0)
