Birds eye view

Today I picked up the palette knife again. Man, is it fun! And as a bonus, it really forces me to paint loosely. I'm sure you can get tight with a knife but the way I do it I can't..lol.
Upsides: LUSCIOUS! THICK! CREAMY! LOOSE!
Downsides: I can see this getting expensive! Gosh, did I lay it on thick. Which leads me to Downside #2: I can't even guess the drying time!
5" x 5" / oil on birch panel / $75

Looks great! And sounds fun! The textures from the knife really give the image depth.

ooh yes this looks so cool. Lovin' the textures and festiveness.

Downside: expensive....

Pro: You give your customer/collector a quality product

They pay you for that, from that payment you can afford the quality paint... bottom line... do it, the quality is a reflection of you!

I hope you agree... : )

Great knife work and the texture makes me want to run my fingers through the paint.
