Romanesco Veronica cauliflower

This was one of those that seemed like a good idea at the time ; ) As you can see, this is a wonderfully intricate, quirky-looking cauliflower. Kind of like if Tim Burton designed vegetables. I took a photo of the one I was painting and then found this other one online from the Park Seed Garden Journal. It was given to us from a friend on the weekend and it was too interesting a subject to pass up! Tomorrow I plan to cook it ; )
6" x 6" / oil on panel / $75

You are brave! I agree, it does look sort of like a Tim Burton article. I saw one at our farm stand the other day, and had too many people for dinner, so I didn't buy one. However, I am curious as to how it will taste! You did a good job, enjoy the fruits now!

This is great! I always seem to be either far to precise, or far too loose. You always have the balance just right!

That's a crazy still life, but it sure makes for a fantastic painting:)
