Silver shimmer - SOLD

I've been admiring Pam Holnback's paintings of old-fashioned Christmas balls (and her loose handling of them!) and decided to try a few myself. Two of these were sparkling silver and one was silver metallic. They were a lot of fun to paint although I had to resist the urge to sprinkle real glitter all over the painting ; )

Wonderful and fun! I'll take the glittery ones! You did that just right. Love the colors.

Well Kim, I am part way through an acrylic bauble painting my self. When I saw yours I almost felt like starting over. As usual, my acrylic is very fussy and yet yours are full of life and energy! This is where I want to be... one day.
I will finish mine anyway and post them some time before Chrismas, but yours are just beautiful!

Oh Sandra - I've done tight too! Just a few weeks back! I was looking at a few other painters loose handling of the subject and tried to pick-up that vibe : ) It comes...you will get to where you want to be - one thing I've noticed with painting a lot is that you are always learning (which is great news! lol) I bet yours is going to be lovely!!

I love these! I wish I could loosen up my painting and not get so hung up on the details- this is a perfect example of how effective it can be to suggest these details. Very nice!

I really like this result Kim. I love the mono color scheme, it is very pleasing and I think you were quite successful with the looseness. I think you are also becoming an expert with the bottles and perspective, along with reflections. Very nice! You have been a busy girl!
