Sugar pear - SOLD

We bought these at a road side stand on the weekend. They're new to me - sugar pears. These little beauties are small, classically shaped and full of flavour. One of them still had it's leaves on so it sat in the fridge under strict instruction to "do not eat" (it was too darn pretty).
6" x 6" / oil on archival panel / SOLD

Sweet composition and I especially like the deep red side of the pear... Heh, a pear with leaves is a great find!! I'm still searching for some daggone oranges with LEAVES!!

Wonderful brushwork! I always love when I find fruit with leaves still attached and would have done the same thing. Great shadow:)

Wonderful composition, Kim. Again! The brushstrokes and values on the pear are beautiful, and I love the shadow. Well done!

This painting is so dicely designed...you have a distinct style which is quite appealing. I am drawn to the blush of deep red on the left side of the pear. How lucky to find one with the leaves attached!

I love the structure of this painting. So crisp and well composed.
