Conductor's cap

Today I grabbed my sister-in-law's conductor's cap to paint. It's really cute ; ) The fabric is a plaid which I decided to suggest at the very end. A slippery slope - I didn't want it to get too busy. So with this one, it was a just a lot of squinting to get the main value shapes. Fun to paint!
On another note, I'm going to take a few days off for a family wedding. If I find some time to squeeze in some work, I will post!
6" x 6" / oil on archival panel / $100 (includes free shipping worldwide)

Perfect way to handle that plaidness without it getting too detailed and busy. I have learned to let the viewer finish sometimes:) They are smart and so are you. This is wonderful. Have fun at the wedding!

Wonderful painting, Kim. Great folds in the fabric.

Cute painting, Kim! I almost forgot what fun it used to be to paint shoes and belts, sandals and bags, all in brown!
