Today I painted in acrylics - and a totally different subject matter for me. I was at The Good Earth where I will be teaching a day of plein air painting in the gardens this Friday (more on that in a minute). I was looking to paint some flowers before I had lunch and this concrete bird bath caught my eye. I got it part way done when my family showed up ready to eat ; ) It was smoking hot so I was happy to move to some shade, have a sandwich and a glass of wine. I must confess I really didn't want to go back in the sun again so I took it back to my studio to finish up (something I would usually preach against!).
So regarding my class on Friday - this one's full but there are 3 more. They run from 10-4 and take place on the grounds of The Good Earth - and include a 3-course lunch!
Classes:
Friday August 12th (Everything's Peachy)
Friday September 16th (The Noble Grape)
Friday October 14th (Golden Hues).
Classes are kept to about 7 people so if you'd like to save a spot let me know and I can give you the contact info.
6" x 6" / acrylic on archival panel / $100 (includes free shipping worldwide)
