Seems being away you have been productive love all that i have seen today on the blogs I missed. I loved the idea of mothers you had how I wish those were my memories of mother.
Such a beautiful painting Kim. It has so much presence. I just love it. And that quote is fantastic. You know that's kind of interesting because I've been thinking of that scene in Les Miserables (I think? I'm positive it's written by Victor Hugo) that is just along the lines of that quote. When two guards see a starving mother with two starving kids ask for food for just the kids. And one guard says "why did she not get any food for her, because she is not hungry?" the other says "no because she is a mother." Now that I've seriously butchered the work of a master I will go.

Delicate and beautiful! I like the way you filled the entire canvas with blossoms. Hope you had a terrific Mother's Day!
I love the angle you've chosen and the colours are lovely.
