Some enchanted evening

I'm not normally given to poetic titles, but it was a beautiful painting night! Golden, tranquil, a soft breeze rippling now and then... And the bugs weren't even too nasty : ) I was still wearing a t-shirt at 9pm! Summer has arrived. I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out. Everything just seemed to flow.

This has such a magical feel. Love the treatment of the sky and that burgundy stripe looks terrific next to the orange and gold.

I love this one. Great colours - my favorite time of day. It evokes a romantic, soft, calm feeling.

I came here from Catherine Jeffrey's blog to meet the person who made the comment about Morandi! Then I saw the painting and the rippling flowing colors held me captive. It goes on beyond the canvas.

it reminds me of the northern lights: magical colours and so much movement!

Wow. Just wonderful. My favorite comment is that the bugs weren't even too nasty. I laughed at that one.

Take care,

Barbara
