Country house in spring - SOLD

This is the completed painting from last Friday. I made a number of value changes as well as brought the front lawn off the panel. Cropped it. Stronger, I think.
6" x 6" / oil on archival panel

Kim, I love this. I feel like there's such a story here. I love how you painted those branches, how did you do that? You know what? I would dearly love a peek in your sketchbook, that would be so fun!

Later friend :)

Great one Kim. This is a very strong painting and I too love those branches.

Very nice, Kim. Lovely soft colors, especially the sky. I like the sun on the side of the house and the yellow bushes.

Hi Kim! Love seeing this in the 2 stages and where you went with it. You're right - much stronger. Nice...

Hi Kim,
I 'd call it 'eeearly spring pastoral.' I'm a sucker for rural settings and I really like it, but it reminds me why I keep thinking that I came home too early from the warm Southwest. I'd love to see this painting revisited when the trees are again leafed out and on a sunny day.
