Mason jar

I was working on a piece I did earlier in the week that needed some fixing and completely botched the thing. I finally wiped it down and felt much better. Then I looked around the studio for something to paint and grabbed this mason jar. Turned out much better than the thing I'd been labouring over : )
6" x 6" / oil on archival panel / $75

This came out really well. I love the composition and that you saw the piece as shapes!

I love this one Kim ... the subtle colours and how the black band balances everything.

Isn't that just the way it works sometimes? Glad this one came out; great brushstrokes! Nice and juicy.

Isn't it funny how that works? I don't know why that's such a hard lesson for me to learn, but it is. You do an excellent job of painting simple subjects that are truly beautiful! I love this one :)

The composition on this painting is great! It is so simple, but the different layers of the background make it so much more! Great color choices, too. I love this painting!
