So...the green bottle is gone. And it feels better. I've learned a lot from painting this. Can't wait for the next one! The white flowers are "snowballs" from our snowball bush. I love how they fall. And I just wanted to thank everyone for their encouragement and enthusiasm on my behalf regarding this painting - thanks! Comments really help spur you forward, no? Oh - and by the way - I set this up in my studio and that painting in the background is this one. I wish a lovely weekend for each and everyone of you : ) 24" x 30" / acrylic on wood

Kim, You should be very proud of yourself. How brave of you to put one of your own paintings in the background. This really speaks to who you are. It looks like you are off in a new direction. I would say you really practiced what you learned in the workshop and did a great job with it.
It turned out lovely Kim. The way the snowballs fall towards the books - gives a very pleasing line.
That is so gorgeous Kim! I liked the green bottle in there but once I saw it when you took it out, I think I liked it better too. You are a genius!!

I love this and yes, I do like the new addition without the bottle. It allowed the blue background to create a really pleasing and interesting place for the eye to rest. Well done!

What a great still life, must be spectacular in real life. Love the edgy colors...greens, blues, and orange with some purple added. Seems ok with or without the green bottle but I agree with Gwen re: the place for the eye to rest. Can't wait to see what comes next.
